AD Open Door is iconic, but there’s a whole world of home tours on YouTube worth watching. This list highlights channels and videos that offer a different lens.
One of my favorite past times is watching home tours on YouTube. I love channels like Homeworthy, Open Space, and The Local Project. I also love watching Architectural Digest Open Door, but I wanted to share channels and videos beyond AD to expand your design horizons. Let’s jump in.
Six Square House
I revisit this house tour often. I love the black wood cladding on the exterior and how everything is light and bright in the interior. The kitchen area with the curved transitions and subtle sweeping ceilings is my favorite space.
Erykah Badu’s Home Studio
This is a treat! I’m a huge fan of Erykah Badu so getting a peak into her home life is so cool. I knew her creative space would be full of the eclectic things, woo woo objects, and wellness tools. I wasn’t disappointed.
Juan Poggi’s Miami Home
A intimate look at a Miami home that was transformed by interior designer Juan Poggi. He has a lot of great pieces and the custom millwork is thoughtful and functional. The oversized coffee table in the living room is so chic.
Global Memphis Mid-Century
I love when a home is a true reflection of the homeowner. This home is fun and cheery just like it’s occupant. I don’t want to say much, just press play!
Robinson House
One of my favorite IG pages is and when I came across this house tour on Youtube, it was great to see the Hood Midcentury Modern founder, Jerald Cooper, giving a tour and sharing the history of this Black modernist home in West Adams, Los Angeles.
Color-fest Compound
The cover image of this home tour caught my attention on YouTube. The sofa upholstered in a black and white graphic fabric and the various art pieces really stuck out to me and I clicked play immediately.
Artistic Chic in Mexico City
I have yet to make it Mexico City but Youtube’s algorithm knewww I was the target audience of this video. A house tour in Mexico City?!?! Yes, please! Another amazing house tour with such an interesting owner. My ear always perk-up when I have the chance to hear a woman talk about her travels, her life, and her interests in detail.
